The Darknet.

The darknet refers to a portion of the internet that is not indexed by search engines and is only accessible using specialized tools such as The Onion Router (Tor) and I2P.

It is often used for anonymous communication and illegal activities, such as the buying and selling of illegal goods and services.

The Onion Router (Tor) is a free, open-source software and network that provides online anonymity and protects users' privacy and security.

It works by routing internet traffic through a network of servers, each of which encrypts and decrypts a layer of the data, making it difficult for anyone monitoring the network to trace the source of the communication.

Tor is widely used by journalists, activists, and others who need to communicate sensitive information securely, as well as by people who want to access the darknet for various purposes.

I2P (Invisible Internet Project) is a free, open-source software that provides a secure and anonymous network for communication.

Like Tor, I2P routes traffic through a network of servers, known as "routers," to conceal the source of the communication and protect users' privacy and security.

I2P also has its own darknet, which allows users to access services and information that is not available on the public internet.

Unlike Tor, I2P is designed to provide a high degree of anonymity and security for users, but it is less well-known and has a smaller user base.
