Pipe Dream !

Sri Lanka should encourage more backpackers to come now because their spending will go to grassroots levels immediately.

But the question is, will they be interested in visiting?

The only plus point for them is the high conversion rate (heard some, deployed by scion are paying exorbitant amounts for foreign currency in places like Hikkaduwa, Mirissa, Ella etc).

But is the inconvenience worthwhile for anyone?

Thanks to the existing set-up in the country, we cannot even get to the 2 million mark.

From the moment they land on this soil until their departure, everyone is trying to fleece them.

Yesterday, there was a video shared by a Vlogger where four young boys in Kandy were trying to misbehave with his female companion.

Unless the authorities are keen to clean up the system, reaching the 3 million mark will be a pipe dream only.
