Is there a Censor Board approval needed before any teledrama is allowed to be broadcast over any television network?
I am aware that all films have to go through such a process before being allowed to go public.
They will be graded according to the contents and based on the rating only they are allowed to be shown publically.
Last night around 8.30, I saw one teledrama on one of the national television network and in which one person was threatening his fiancé/wife / mistress or whatever that he will set fire to the house following morning if the woman does not agree to his request, which was what I have no clue of.
This is the prime time most kids watch televisions after attending their online classes and allowing such contents to be broadcast when most kids are watching is a crime.
What happens here is allowing such brash threats to be made freely will give a notion that such behaviour in public or private is acceptable to formatting minds of the kids.
I have seen on many social media platforms that some are voicing their concerns and calling to ban imported and dubbed foreign dramas citing that they will harm our cultural values.
But looking at most of the teledramas being shown on all networks, I thinking locally made ones are the ones need to be scrutinized more and not the others.
