තාමත් පරක්කු නැහැ සම හරක්ට !

කිරි සප්පයකුටත් දැනෙන ඒත් මී හරක්ට තාමත් නො තේ රෙන හෝ නො තේරුනා වගේ ඉන්න සත්‍යය.

සම හරක්ගේ හිතේ ජෙප්පන්ට බැන්නම රටේ ප්‍රශ්න ඉබේ විසදෙනවා කියලා.

මේ රටේ ප්‍රශ්නේට මුල ජෙප්පොම නෙමෙයි..

ජෙප්පොත් වග කියන්න ඕනේ තමයි.

නමුත් අද උදාවෙලා තියෙන ප්‍රශ්නෙට මුල දැන් මේ බලයේ ඉන්න හොර පවුල.

රටේ මහජනතාවගේ සල්ලි හොරකම් කරන විදිය මුන්ට දිවැසින් වගේ පෙනුනට රටේ තියෙන දැවෙන ප්‍රශ්න වලට විසදුම් තාම පේන පාටක්වත් නැහැ.

ඔක්කොටම හපන් තාමත් උන්ට සඩ්ඩම්බිරාළ වැඩ කරන රිලවු ටිකකුත් ඉන්න එක.

සඩ්ඩම්බිරාළ වැඩේ හරියට කරාම සම හරක්ට ගෑස් සිලින්ඩරයකුයි, භූමි තෙල් කුප්පියකුයි, සප්පායම් වෙන්න ජොනී ස්පෙෂල් ටිකකුයි ලැබෙනවා ඇති.

ඒකයි තාමත් ජෙප්පොයි වඳ කොත්තුයි විතරක් මතක.

නැත්නම් මොලයක් තියෙන එකෙක් මෙහෙම හැසිරේවිද මේ රටට අද උදාවෙලා තියෙන තත්වේ හැටියට.

සම හරක්ට තක්කු මුක්කු වෙන්න පටන් ගන්න දිනය එච්චර දුර නැහැ.

ඒ තමන්ගේ ලමයින්ට උසස් අධ්‍යාපනයක් දෙන්න අවශ්‍ය වෙලාවට නැත්නම් සුදුසු රැකියාවක් හොයන කාලේට.

එතකොට බලා ගන්න පුලුවන් සඩ්ඩම්බිරාළලා හැටියට හොරු රැක රැක ජෙප්පන්ට බැන බැන හිටපු එකේ රඟේ මී හරක් රැලට.

නමුත් තාමත් පරක්කු නැහැ සම හරක්ට තේරුම් ගන්න.

Who says this is taxpayer money? 

This isn't the case. 

They own the ignorant populace, who still act and think like enslaved servants. 

As a result, this is technically their cash.

 

So please don't bother, and let them enjoy their winnings, courtesy of the several idiots still around.

Economic Strangulation and Annexation

The peaceful protest has been going on for more than a month on the Galle Face Green in Sri Lanka, and after authorities failed to disperse the people by threats, intimidation, and finally violence, now they are trying to fox the general public by cooking up another story.

The story is that the big bulling neighbour brother is behind all these protests and why they do it is to strangle the country’s economy, so it can be annexed to them socially and economically.

The past examples are given to affirm the theory are the formation of the European Union and China taking control of Hong Kong.

The EU was formed for mutual benefits; to avoid possible wars between nations and to remove some of the bottlenecks within the landmass.

The Hong Kong case is not similar to that.

They are only claiming their rightful landmass after the expiry of the lease China had with the UK.

The interesting thing to look at in both situations is the sort of money in use after both incidents.

The Germans are the most powerful nation economically in the EU, but instead of forcing their mark on other nations, a new unit of money called the Euro was formed.

In the case of Hong Kong, they still use their old HK dollars and not the Chinese currency.

Annexation after a military invasion is a real possibility, and Crimea is one recent example of many others littered throughout the history of mankind.

However, an annexation after systematic starvation of another country’s economy is just another fancy theory, yet to be duplicated in real life, but not an impossibility either.

The geographical location is important, but the most important and long-lasting factor is the people's will.

But without the will of the people, it would only be a nasty experiment.

And I doubt that the big bully brotherly neighbour would go down that road again, having already paid dearly for taking such a stand to feed, shelter, and protect a group of terrorists a few decades ago.

Therefore, my assumption is that this is just another devious diversion plan cooked up by the authorities and nothing more.

Long live the peaceful protest.

දශක හතකට වැඩි කාලයක් මේ රටේ මිනිසුන්ට ප්‍රඥාවන්ත නියෝජිතයෙකු අවශ්‍ය වූ නමුත් ඔවුන් කළේ එක තක්කඩියෙකු වෙනුවට තවත් තක්කඩියෙකු තෝරාගෙන මිථ්‍යා චරිත (දියසේන, රාවණා) පැමිණ අපව බේරා ගන්නා තෙක් බලා සිටීමයි.

යමෙකුට සැබෑ වෙනසක් අවශ්‍ය නම්, මෙය සුදුසු කාලය සහ අවස්ථාවද වේ.

ඒ කියන්නේ එළියට බැහැලා උද්ඝෝෂණ කරනවා කියන එක නෙවෙයි.

එය සමහරුන්ට කළ හැකි නමුත් සියල්ලන්ටම නොවේ.

ඔබ දැන් කළ යුත්තේ ඇතුළත දෙස බලා ඔබ පැළඳ සිටි වර්ණ කණ්ණාඩි වෙනස් කිරීම හෝ විසි කිරීම සහ අන්ධ ලෙස එක් තක්කඩියෙකුට සහයෝගය දැක්වීමයි.

මතවාද වෙනස් කිරීමට අපහසු බවට සැකයක් නැත.

අප මුලින්ම අභ්‍යන්තරය දෙස බලා පසුව අපට, අපගේ දරුවන්ට සහ ඔවුන්ගේ දරුවන්ට සැබවින්ම අවශ්‍ය වන්නේ කුමක්ද යන්න නිර්වචනය කළ යුතු හේතුව එයයි.

මෙතෙක් මේ රටට සියලු පාර්ශ්වයන් කළේ අපගේ සහය ඇතිව හෝ නැතිව, ඇත්ත වශයෙන්ම එළිපිටම දූෂණය කිරීම පමණි.

මේක දැන්වත් නවත්තන්න ඕන.

පළමු සුනාමිය එක් තක්කඩි පවුලක් ධනවත් කළ නමුත් දෙවැන්න ශ්‍රී ලංකා දේශපාලනයේ සියලු තක්කඩියන් සුද්ද කරනු ඇත.

තක්කඩි පවුල නැති වූ පසු නිවැරදි මිනිසුන් බිහිවනු ඇත.

එතෙක් අරගලය දිගටම කරගෙන යා යුතුයි.

What is the Hurry Now?

What is the hurry now? 

For more than seven decades, people in this country desired a wise representative, but all they did was choose one crook over another and wait for mythical characters ( දිය සේන, රාවණා) to come and rescue us.

If anyone wants real change, this is the right time and the opportunity too.

That does not mean going out and protesting.

It is possible for some, but not for all.

All you have to do now is to look inward and change or throw away the coloured glasses you have been wearing and support one crook or another blindly.

No doubt the ideologies are hard to change.

That is the very reason that we need to look inward first and then define what we really need for ourselves, our kids and theirs too.

All the parties hitherto did to this country was only to rape it openly, with or without our support, of course.

This has to stop now.

The first tsunami made one family of crooks damn rich, but the second one will purge all crooks in Sri Lankan politics.

The right kind of people will emerge once GR and the family of crooks are gone. 

Until then, the struggle has to continue.

Our wedding was scheduled for July 30, 1987, and what occurred after Rajiv was hit by a naval rating is now history.

We had to pay twice for the wedding since we were unable to notify the hotel in time that the ceremony would be held owing to the country's condition.

Many who attended the wedding finally a week later would vouch for how frugal the wedding was thanks to the financial constraints brought in by the situation that prevailed then in the country.

We were unable to do so since, at the time, someone had set fire to the Mount Lavinia telephone exchange, rendering all landlines inoperable.

Your guess as to who is to blame for those horrible atrocities is as good as mine.

Many moons later, at a party, I ran across a high school acquaintance who, after a couple of too many drinks, became a true talker.

He began bragging about how he and a comrade in the Sri Lankan police force had destroyed several power transformers by simply opening the oil coolant valves on those units in the middle of the night.

All they needed were the blessing of a very powerful politician who was in power then, a pair of pliers and the darkness.

His father was a well-known journalist who backed the left, but he was not affiliated with any political party and merely did things for the fun of it.

I narrate this story now not to defend someone in particular, but to remind everyone that every story we see, read, or hear has some other truth to it than what we really interpret it.

As many believe, I too believe that JVP is also to be blamed for many things in the past, and if they come to power, their outdated and failed economic ideology would bring more problems to us.

The need of the hour in this country is to grow up and try to see beyond our small circles.

When I say "grow up," it means throwing away the coloured glasses we always wear to blindly defend one crook and lambast another ruthlessly.

If we as a nation can accomplish this, only true wealth will come knocking.

Otherwise, we would remain an impoverished country for many centuries, blaming all of our problems on other religions, ethnicities, foreign powers, and so on.

The choice is ours.
