PickMe (PKME) Fundamental Analysis
PKME — Fundamental View
One-sentence summary:
PKME's fundamentals show a strong, rapidly scaling and increasingly
profitable business, with high revenue growth, expanding margins, strong
cash generation and a very healthy balance sheet.
3 Strengths
- Exceptional growth and
profitability — FY2025/26 revenue rose 49% to Rs. 8.68 Bn, while net
profit increased 88% to Rs. 2.20 Bn and operating profit rose 90%
to Rs. 3.05 Bn.
- Strong cash generation and
balance sheet — Operating cash flow reached Rs. 3.41 Bn, while cash and
bank balances more than doubled to Rs. 2.14 Bn. Total equity
increased to Rs. 3.83 Bn, with relatively modest lease liabilities
and virtually no conventional borrowing burden.
- Improving operating economics — The business is demonstrating
operating leverage: revenue grew 49%, but operating profit grew 90%.
FY2025/26 ROE was approximately 69%, while net asset value per
share increased from Rs. 7.76 to Rs. 11.49.
2 Risks / Watch Points
- Growth expectations are becoming
demanding — Much of PKME's fundamental strength depends on continuing rapid
expansion in users, transactions and platform activity. A meaningful
slowdown could reduce the operating leverage that is currently driving
exceptional profit growth. The latest Q1 FY2026/27 still showed strong
growth, but this needs to be sustained.
- Tax/accounting exposure deserves
monitoring — The company disclosed tax assessments concerning the
deductibility of customer discounts, agent commissions and capital
allowances on intangible assets, as well as historical software-service
exemptions; these matters have been appealed.
1 thing to track going forward:
Operating cash flow versus reported profit — if cash generation
continues to grow broadly in line with earnings while revenue and margins
remain strong, it would provide important confirmation that the reported profit
growth is translating into real economic cash generation.
Overall Fundamental Quality: STRONG
On fundamentals alone, I would classify PKME as STRONG.
The
combination of high growth + rising margins + strong ROE + substantial cash
generation + low financial leverage + growing net assets is unusually
compelling among CSE-listed companies.
Important: This is a fundamental-quality assessment, not a valuation assessment.
A company can have strong fundamentals while its share price may still
be high or inexpensive. Therefore, deliberately not use the current
market price, P/E, P/B or a buy/sell conclusion in assigning the rating.
