The Wega EV was unveiled at the 2019 Geneva Motor Show and was designed and developed in Sri Lanka by the David Pieris Motor Company (DPMC), which is the parent company of Wega.
The Wega EV prototype is a compact car with a hatchback design and can accommodate up to five passengers.
The car is powered by an electric motor that delivers a maximum power output of 17 kW and a peak torque of 140 Nm.
The Wega EV comes with several features such as regenerative braking, an air conditioning system, power windows, and a touchscreen infotainment system.
The car's battery can be charged using a standard wall outlet, and the charging time is estimated to be around six hours.
The Wega EV is still in the prototype stage, and there is no official word on when the car will be available for sale.
However, the launch of the Wega EV prototype demonstrates Wega's commitment to the electric vehicle market and its efforts to expand beyond its core product offerings of motorcycles, scooters, and three-wheelers.
Wega EV 2019 ජිනීවා මෝටර් රථ ප්‍රදර්ශනයේදී එළිදක්වන ලද අතර වේගා හි මව් සමාගම වන ඩේවිඩ් පීරිස් මෝටර් සමාගම (DPMC) විසින් ශ්‍රී ලංකාවේ නිර්මාණය කර සංවර්ධනය කරන ලදී.
Wega EV මූලාකෘතිය හැච්බැක් මෝස්තරයක් සහිත සංයුක්ත මෝටර් රථයක් වන අතර මගීන් පස් දෙනෙකුට පමණ ගමන් කළ හැකිය.
මෝටර් රථය බලගන්වන්නේ විදුලි මෝටරයකින් වන අතර එය උපරිම බලය 17 kW සහ 140 Nm ක උපරිම ව්‍යවර්ථයක් ලබා දෙයි.
මෝටර් රථයේ උපරිම වේගය පැයට කිලෝමීටර 80 ක් වන අතර එක් වරක් ආරෝපණය කිරීමෙන් කිලෝමීටර 150 ක් දක්වා ගමන් කළ හැකිය.
Wega EV පුනර්ජනනීය තිරිංග, වායු සමීකරණ පද්ධතියක්, බල කවුළු සහ ටච්ස්ක්‍රීන් තොරතුරු රසාස්වාදය පද්ධතියක් වැනි විශේෂාංග කිහිපයකින් සමන්විත වේ.
මෝටර් රථයේ බැටරිය සම්මත බිත්ති අලෙවිසැලක් භාවිතයෙන් ආරෝපණය කළ හැකි අතර, ආරෝපණය කිරීමේ කාලය පැය හයක් පමණ වනු ඇතැයි ගණන් බලා ඇත.
Wega EV තවමත් මූලාකෘති මට්ටමේ පවතින අතර, මෝටර් රථය විකිණීමට ඇත්තේ කවදාද යන්න පිළිබඳව නිල වචනයක් නොමැත.
කෙසේ වෙතත්, Wega EV මූලාකෘතිය දියත් කිරීම මගින් විද්‍යුත් වාහන වෙළඳපොළ සඳහා Wega හි කැපවීම සහ එහි මූලික නිෂ්පාදන වන යතුරුපැදි, ස්කූටර් සහ ත්‍රිරෝද රථවලින් ඔබ්බට ව්‍යාප්ත කිරීමට දරන උත්සාහය පෙන්නුම් කරයි.
